green mountain is actually a long range of hills at 9200' covered with limber pine, lodge pole pines and aspens here and there. these aspens have no twigs below the upper reaches of cattle browsing. as you travel down in elevation you come to a treeline that gives way to sagebrush, ranch land and wind. a popular spot with hunters. |
