i was surprised to find out that badlands national park had a small wilderness area southwest of all the gift shops and colorful rock formations. there are 700 head of bison that roam within it's fenced boundaries. it consists of rolling hills, prairie dog colonies, cottonwoods and small creeks, lazily winding through the valleys. it feels like a wild place. |
