i absolutely love hiking off trail in the north cascades. they are so rough and wild, you really feel like you are going somewhere even though it takes a long time to gain any distance. on a mission to find wiseman lake in the sisters range, i was rewarded with this view of loomis mountain south of mt. baker from a ridge above treeline. glacier peak can be seen in the center on the horizon. |
