this spot is where the ferry used to leave the mainland in sedgwick for deer isle. no longer in use it remains a piece of history. deer isle is an incredibly beautiful place with the strongest sense of community and hardest workers i have seen anywhere. i have heard other people refer to the deer isle bridge as the gate to heaven. I believe them. |
